Another 5 day Allagash canoe trip with Canoe the Wild , this one with the Maine Women Hunter’s group. We had high water and the bugs were not bad. Most of the rain fell at night and nobody joined the swim team in Chase Stream Rapids! Maine Guide Mark Hutchinson ran safety sweep canoe with Sharon in Chase Stream Rapids. The trip was assisted by Maine guide and leader of the Maine Women Hunters group Christi Holmes. To take part in a future Maine Women Hunter’s 5 day Allagash trip, contact Christi Holmes on Facebook. Bonaventure River, June 2023
Another Canoe the Wild Bonaventure River whitewater canoe trip on the Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec. Beginning in the Chic Choc Mountains ending 7 days later near the ocean. We had great water levels and began the trip with a fire ban which was shortly lifted early in the trip. A campfire was permitted with a screen during the fire ban. A stove with plenty of propane was used as a backup and came in handy. We’ll do this trip again in 2024, Watch for our 2024 schedule which will be out shortly.
