Ten students from the East Grand school took part in their first Allagash canoe trip with funding provided by the Maine Outdoor Learning Initiative Grant.

Canoe Trip Picture Highlights, 2023
Below are highlights of guided canoe trips with Canoe the Wild last season. We offer fully outfitted and guided canoe trips on the St Croix River (1-5 days), the Allagash (5-7 days) St John River (scheduled for early May 2024), the Bonaventure River (scheduled for June 2024) and the NE Mistassibi River which is scheduled for July of 2024. Canoe trips make for a great summer adventure vacation for individuals, groups and families. All the mentioned trips are a go for the 24 season and we are at about 70% capacity as of January 2024. 5 Day Allagash Trip, July 1-5, 2022
A recent guided and outfitted canoe trip on the Allagash with Canoe the Wild. Many were new to canoe camping and enjoyed gaining skills such as whitewater canoeing and proper canoe strokes, canoe poling, starting a fire with flint and steel, knots and practical uses of, wilderness baking and how to be comfortable while on a wilderness canoe trip. Canoe the Wild has several openings on 5 & 7 days trips this August & September….why not join us!

Allagash Canoe Trip, June 11-14, 2020
Canoe the Wild’s first Guided Allagash canoe trip this season. This one with Ben Williamson of Ben Williamson Photography and his brother Zander Williamson and Maine guide Tammi Matula. Caught lots of brook trout and spotted 12 moose! Enjoyed working along side Ben and learning more about photography!
