Allagash Canoe Trips – Best for Spotting Moose! (more info)

Numerous starting and ending locations. Our 4 and 5 day trips start at Round Pond and Long Lake skipping Chase Stream Rapids and the large headwater lakes ending at Allagash Village. Our 6 day trip starts on Churchill Lake, includes Chase Stream Rapids and ends at Allagash Village. Our 7 day trips start on Indian Stream (the traditional trip) on the South end of Eagle Lake and ends at Allagash Village. The best part is you don’t need any previous experience, we take care of all the logistics, equipment, meals, transportation and bringing you up to speed on the basics as necessary!

Families with younger kids are welcome on our 4 day trips which are mostly river travel, on longer trips,  we recommend the minimum age be 12.

Cost per person, 4 day trips $795.00, 5 day  trips $950.00, 6 day trips $1095.00, 7 day trips $1245.00, kids and teens up to age 17 come at 10% off on 4 & 5 day trips and 15% off on 6 day trips and 20% off on 7 day trips when there are at least four adults paying full price (your party or combined parties).

Bonaventure River Canoe Trip

One of Eastern Canada’s finest rivers with lots and lots of lively and class I-II whitewater with no portages and only a few linings. There are several class III ledge drops that can be lined or paddled. The Bonaventure starts out as a swift moving mountain stream with many sharp turns growing in size as we descend through a valley of Black Spruce.

NE Mistissibi River Canoe Trip

The NE Mistissibi River is one of Eastern Canada’s best whitewater canoe trips. It features over 70 sets of rapids in 70 miles, many over 1 kilometer in length. When paddling in low to medium water, there is only one short portage and several linings, making this an excellent river to paddle or pole that is not too physically demanding.

St. Croix River Canoe Trip (more info)

Day tours & overnight trips, 3-5 days. Designated as a Canadian Heritage River, the St. Croix flows along the eastern Maine border with New Brunswick Canada offering great wilderness scenery, moderate whitewater, maintained campsites and fishing for small mouth bass. the St. Croix is well suited for families and groups of all ages with little or no experience and can be paddled all summer long.

Cost per person: day trips $125.00, 3 day trips $595.00, 4 day trips $745.00, 5 day trips, $895.00, kids and teens up to age 17  come at 10% off when there is at least four paying full price (your party or combined parties).

West Branch of the Penobscot River (more info)

Easy flat water canoe trip on the West Branch of the Penobscot River including a side trip into scenic Lobster Lake (3 miles) with its sandy beaches and beautiful setting, we’ll camp there on night one. There is a scenic hike up Lobster Mountain with a well maintained and marked trail. From the confluence of Lobster Stream and the Penobscot, the river flows easily for 15 miles to Chesuncook Lake, our takeout location on day three. Ideal for families & older folks looking for a leisurely pace & wildlife viewing. There are no rapids and the West Branch is a birder’s paradise and a great trip for spotting moose!

East Branch of the Penobscot River (more info)

3 days, class I-III whitewater, 4 mandatory portages, trip takes place in the heart of the scenic Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.

Private Custom Trips, 2019

Contact us to discuss putting a custom trip together for your family or group of 10 or more. If your group is less than 10 in number, we can discuss a cost person that makes it feasible to go or joining up with others. NOTE: all of our trips are guided. We DO NOT rent equipment, provide shuttle service and are not a resource for your self guided canoe trip.

Contact Dave to discuss any questions you may have. Once you have decided on a trip, download the Application, Release, and Health History forms available on the contacts webpage and mail in with a deposit. Payment by check is preferred.  Contact Dave
